Vancouver Titans releases Bumper

Bumper exits Vancouver Titans before the 2020 season begins.

Recent news before 2020 season come from Vancouver Titans. The team has revealed that they are going to be releasing Park “Bumper” Sang-beom from their roster. He played as the main tank in Titans’ line-up.

Aside from being the main tank, Bumper played a significant role in the championship. Hugely due to his contributions, Titans won stage one championship. In the past, Bumper and many others in Vancouver Titans have played for RunAway. Their team won Overwatch Contenders Championship Korea. Vancouver Titans saw their potential and used the opportunity to sign the whole team afterwards.

However, Bumper wasn’t the only main tank in Titans’ team. He and Hwang “Tizi” Jang-hyeon often switched places during the season. In fact, most of the grand finals between Vancouver Titans and San Francisco Shock were played by Tizi.

Sadly, earlier this offseason Tizi parted ways with Titans. Although the team also introduced Baek “Fissure” Chan-hyung recently as their main tank, this means he is now the only main tank in Vancouver Titans’ team for 2020 season.

The organisation will likely to introduce more players to their roster as the offseason still continues. Hopefully, this means the team will sign with a backup for their main tank. As of now, every other team seems to include backups for their important positions. There will be two matches at Rogers Arena hosted by Vancouver Titans in 2020 Overwatch League.
