TSM Sacks their head Coach as it seeks to re-strategize for the new Season.
TSM has cut short the tenure of Ziks as their head coach. The Sacking of Ziks has been looming after the team did not improve considerately under his tutelage. He was brought in to change their fortunes after they had a woeful 2018 season.
Before Ziks, the team was being coached by Parth Naidu and Kim “SSONG” Sang-soo in the 2018 season. It was a season that proved to be their worst in recent memories. Under those two, the team failed to reach their full potential. They made no impact in both the spring and summer playoff before exiting hurriedly.
There were early signs and optimism that this year will be a huge improvement of the last, with a new coach in place and influx of new players. However, this couldn’t change their fortune much as the team quickly fell into the same pits of inconsistencies and bad communication that characterized their previous season.
TSM has a season to forget in both the 2019 Spring and Summer Splits. They eventually didn’t make the Worlds and will be hurtfully watching from home while Clutch Gaming, Team Liquid and Cloud 9 depart to Europe to take on the rest of the World.
There will understandably be expectations of significant changes. TSM are already planning to put their house as the search for a new head Coach has started. They are quick to add Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg on a two-year deal. The mid laner star is making a return to TSM rank and will become a part-owner.
ESPN reporter Tyler “FionnOnFire” Erzberger has given some words of assurance about efforts of founder Andy “Reginald” Dinh and the team president Leena Xu to bring about a change and the good days. Fans only need to trust them.
