PSG.LGD moves new carry to inactive position

PSG.LGD has officially benched their new carry Ahjit ahead of the ESL One Los Angeles Major.

After releasing their top performing carry, PSG.LGD have decided to recruit a new carry to test in the roster. The team’s first new carry was Lai “Ahjit” Jay. However, after joining the roster in less than a week ago, PSG.LGD decided to bench him. The team also said that it would start another test period with another carry. They told that Li “ASD” Zhiwen was going to join in the roster to replace Ahjit.

PSG.LGD have had a very rough season in the recent Dota Pro Circuit. After a huge loss, the team had decided to rebuild the roster. In a series of planned changes, they released their top performing carry Wang “Ame” Chunyu. Ame has been playing in PSG.LGD’s roster for the past four years. There were a lot of confusion and anger from Chinese Dota 2 community at the time of release. Ame had also been nicknamed as “A Emperor” in the professional scene. He was given the name after proving himself as one of the top performing carries in the Chinese region.

According to the Weibo post PSG.LGD have made regarding to the move, the team cited few reasons as to why they decided to bench Ahjit. The team explained that he wasn’t meeting the standards in the roster. The team told that Anjit had failed to work alongside with the other players in the roster. PSG.LGD decided to put him in inactive position at the end.

New carry Li “ASD” Zhiwen

PSG.LGD went on announcing the new carry that was going to replace Ahjit. They explained that similar to Ahjit, ASD was going to have his first run with a top professional Dota 2 team. ASD have played in lower ranking teams in the past like Revive, EHOME, and Team Sirius. However, he first began his journey in the professional Dota 2 scene with Team Invincible, later joining to CDEC Gaming. His first long stunt was with EHOME. He played in EHOME’s Dota 2 roster for half a year until moving out to Team Sirius. ASD is an experienced carry, and had memorable moments with Shadow Devil and Raschick in the scene.

PSG.LGD will be starting their open qualifiers run very soon. This means ASD might be their only chance for their carry position for the duration of the qualifiers. But, this doesn’t mean there won’t be more changes in the roster. If another failure were to happen in their open qualifiers run, there might be many more changes in their roster.
