Planescape: Torment Game Info
A development of Black Isle Studios and released by Interplay Entertainment for PC in December 1999. The game is built off BioWare’s Infinity Engine. Planescape: Torment is a role playing game set on a modified version of the Infinity Engine. It was also used in BioWare’s Baldur’s Gate, another Dungeons & Dragons game set in the Forgotten Realms. Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition was released for PC, Linux, macOS, Android, iOS in April 2017. Later released on the main platforms for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in September 2019. The featured quality of life updates and featured other tweaks and enhancements made to the entire gameplay by Beamdog.
Planescape: Torment Plot Synopsis
The game is set in locations from the multiverse of Planescape. A Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) fantasy campaign setting. It’s story driven without much combat prominent in the gameplay. The character is “The Nameless One.” An immortal who forgets everything when he dies.
The game is based around the journey of The Nameless One in the city of Sigil and some other planes. This is where he reclaims his memories of the previous lives he has lived. He also re-discovers why he was made immortal. The player is also assigned attribute points. These are used for the character’s intelligence, strength, charisma, etc. The Nameless One, the main protagonist of the game primarily focuses on resolution of quests. These can be done through dialogue or combat. The character can often use dialogue or stealth to avoid or resolve a quests.

Planescape: Torment is a role-playing game based on Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition. Exploring through the painted scenery, interacting with different objects and Non player character. You may also use Items and Spells in combat. An alternative to armour, magical tattoos, which help The Nameless One enhance his abilities. The player begins with fighter class. However, they can change to a thief or wizard. Players are able to recruit companions along their journey in the game. From a selection of seven potential companions, five may accompany The Nameless One at any given time.
