Olleh says goodbye to Dignitas Academy

LoL player Olleh has officially exited Dignitas Academy’s team roster ahead of the LCS Summer Split.

Team Dignitas have recently parted ways with their academy recruit Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung. Olleh had joined the Dignitas Academy’s roster about four months ago as the team’s new support. At the time, the organisation also renewed their contract to November 2021. However, the support recently told that he asked the organisation to allow him to seek out other teams to play in the summer series. He told that he was also considering retirement if he failed to find any rosters to pick him up.

After getting the green light from Dignitas, Olleh said on his Twitter page that he was looking for teams to join for the next series in the league. He explained that he will be putting all in with his performances in the scene. He added that he knew four languages and was eager to join any team regardless of their location.

Olleh had first started his gigs in the LCS scene with Immortals. He joined the team back in December 2016. However, it wasn’t until 2017 that he had first experience in LCS scene. They finished the NA LCS Spring series in the seventh place. Later that year, Immortals managed to climb up to the second spot in the NA LCS Summer series. Unfortunately, TSM had stopped them in their tracks in the finals.

Olleh joined Team Liquid a year later. They finished both of the NA LCS series in the top spot. The team also got a seed for the Worlds 2018 season. Team Liquid had a top 12 place finish in their run. Before joining to Dignitas Academy lineup, Olleh was playing for Golden Guardians Academy. He had moved to the organisations’ academy roster after taking part in the LCS Spring series in Golden Guardians LCS roster. However, despite his move to the lower league, the academy roster managed to leave NA Academy Summer series in the second spot.

Dignitas and LCS

Team Dignitas have been making adjustments in their roster since the previous LCS season. The team failed to get a spot in the LCS Spring Playoffs due to their seventh place finish in the spring split. After the poor season, they said goodbye to Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon, and introduced Omran “V1per” Shoura and Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett.

Matthew “Akaadian” Higginbotham in the team has recently told the community that Team Dignitas will carry out a scrim before the upcoming series. All the players in the organisation will be competing with one another in the scrims. Akaadian said that Dignitas aims to select their main and academy lineup from the players’ performances. Meanwhile, LCS Summer series will be taking off on 12 June.
