LEC 2020’s final week has Misfits vs. G2

LEC 2020 Week 9 ends with highly anticipated match between Misfits and G2 Esports.

We are almost at the end of the LEC Spring Split season this year. The series is about to enter the week 9 of matches, which is the last week of the series. This also creates the tension for several very anticipated battles nearing the end of the week. One of those 2020 LEC matches is between G2 Esports and Misfits Gaming. G2 Esports has been at the top of the standings at the LEC season. So, it is no surprise that there is a lot of excitement in the League of Legends community for their match on Saturday.

Riot Games has also posted a teaser video for the G2 Esports and Misfits Gaming match on twitter. The organisation had Fabian “Febiven” Diepstraten as the face of Misfits. The mid laner has been playing in the team in the past year and a half. Before joining Misfits’ roster, he had been going through a rough time with Clutch Gaming. After six lacking months of success, Febiven left the team for Misfits Gaming.

Unfortunately, Misfits Gaming also had relatively unsuccessful runs at the time. Over the time, however, Febiven improved immensely in the professional scene. LEC Spring Split also showed this improvement. His performance during the LEC Spring Split has been some of the best. His exceeding plays have put him right back among the best mid laners in the League of Legends scene today.

The teaser video also had another face on the other side. Riot Games featured Luka “PERKZ” Perković from Misfits Gaming’s roster. The mid laner has been one of the biggest rivals of Febiven. Similar to Misfits Gaming, PERKZ was also one of the key players in the team. He is the oldest current member in the G2 Esports’ roster. He has been playing in the team for the past five years, and PERKZ’s top performances have played a huge part in their success.

This is not the last time G2 Esports and Misfits Gaming have gone against each other. In the previous face off, G2 had lost a big time against Misfits. At the time, Misfits had Iván “Razork” Martín Díaz, Ju “Bvoy” Yeong-hoon, and DannyDan Dan” Le Comte. They have been relatively new in the scene. However, despite this, the team had managed to overpower G2 in their match.

Misfits Gaming and G2 Esports will be battling each other on Saturday, March 28. Their match will take place at 3pm CT.
