The Langrisser 1 and 2 remaster is coming to PS4, Switch & PC in March & NIS America has just launched a demo.
The excitement for Langrisser 1 and 2 is super duper high. As the titles are close to releasing on the 17th of March on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. As such, NIS America recently released a localized demo for its retro-remake Langrisser I & II. The demo, expected to be an English-language version of the previously released Japanese demo. And it is now live on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, ahead of the game’s official release.
The demo features Chapters 1, 2, and 3 of Langrisser I, and Chapters 4, 5, and 6 of Langrisser II. Players will also be able to switch out between both the Classic and Remastered art styles as well. Playing the demo will also net fans a bonus in the full game. One doesn’t even have to complete the demo. So long as demo save data is present on the hard drive, players will start their game with an extra 5,000 gold and 2 CP.
What is the synopsis of Langrisser 1 and 2?
If you are unfamiliar with the games, the synopsis is as follows. Langrisser I & II, are a pair of strategy RPGs that found a following when they released back in the 90s. The first follows the forces of darkness as they descend upon the kingdom of Baldea. You play as Prince Ledin, and must rid the kingdom of darkness. Meanwhile, the sequel, Langrisser II has you thrown in between warring factions. This time, Elwin is the hero. And he must navigate the war and determine which path will bring peace to this conflict. The game originally released in Japan for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 back on April 18, 2019.
The features of this new remake are as follows:

Langrisser I & II features a fully re-drawn universe. It is actualised by Ar Tonelico artist Ryo Naga. As well as new high-definition visuals, a fully voiced script, re-recorded soundtrack. And numerous quality-of-life improvements to the gameplay and user experience that made these strategy RPGs truly legendary. This release will give RPG fans who may have missed out on the original releases the chance to experience these epic adventures. In both their traditional and revamped form.
The publisher also added that “four sets of classic BGM from previous releases of the two classic Langrisser titles (1993-1998) will be available upon the game’s full release in the Legacy BGM Pack.” There will also be a Langrisser I and II Limited Edition ($79.99). Which comes with a physical copy of the game, visual book, two-disc original soundtrack. As well as three-disc Songs of War soundtrack, collector’s box, and collectible art cards. Langrisser I & II will also be available to play at NIS America’s PAX East 2020 booth. Langrisser I & II launches in North America on March 10, Europe on March 13. And Australia March 20 for PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
