There are rumours circulating that Gen.G esports plans to recruit BnTeT from TYLOO into their 2020 CS:GO roster.
There has been some rumours going around the CS:GO scene about Gen.G trying to sign Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand in their roster. BnTeT has been playing for TYLOO as their game leader in Chinese league. However, he might now move to North American league with Gen.G.
In the recent weeks, Gen.G has been making additions and building their CS:GO roster for the upcoming 2020 season. So far, they have signed Damian “daps” Steele, Kenneth “koosta” Suen, Sam “s0m” Oh, and Timothy “autimatic” Ta. Except for s0m, their current lineup was all picked from Cloud9‘s previous roster.
BnTeT has made a name for himself in the Chinese league. For the past two years, he has been in TYLOO as their leader and their top fragger. BnTeT has been one of the crucial members for TYLOO as he played a huge part in the team’s qualification for CS:GO Majors. In November, he also helped the team getting in CS:GO Asia Championships semifinals.
The rumours of Gen.G trying to sign BnTeT comes from Jarek “DeKay” Lewis. According to him, BnTeT’s contract is about to expire at the end of this year, and Gen.G has already made a proposition to him. If he accepts, it will be his first time to play in an North American team.
If the deal goes through, Gen.G will complete its roster for the upcoming 2020 CS:Go season. The team has a backup for their last spot as well. Former Complexity rifler Hunter “SicK” Mims will assume the last position in the worst case scenario.
While the talks are still happening between Gen.G and BnTeT, he will be taking a part in WESG regional qualifiers in TYLOO’s roster this week. Gen.G will also play in the soon to start ICEM Katowice’s CS:GO North American open qualifiers.
