Astralis announce their plans for ESL Pro League

Astralis will be making an appearance at the ESL Pro League Season 11 tournament.

One of the top names in CS:GO professional scene, Astralis, has recently revealed their upcoming appearance at ESL Pro League season 11. The community have been wondering whether the team would show up at the upcoming ESL League or at the B Site Inc.’s new CS:GO league. However, Astralis’ CEO Anders Hørsholt has recently confirmed their appearance in the next ESL Pro League.

Anders Hørsholt told the community that they had been in contact with the other high ranking CS:GO teams. He said that they had a meeting with ESL in Paris, and he explained that they talked about the new ESL League format, including a long-term deal with the organisation. Anders also told that the negations were still ongoing. However, he added that they planned finalise the agreement in the following days.

Last week, there were some changes in the CS:GO ESL Pro League. After ESL announced these changes, the tournament had half as much as team it had before. Following the changes, the organisation also revealed the invited teams for the upcoming CS:GO go ESL Pro season. Astralis was one of the team’s in the list.

Who else is officially participating?

So far, none of the invited teams have officially confirmed their participation. However, some teams such as Ninjas in Pyjamas and Complexity have teased that they would play in the new ESL Pro League.

Astralis is one of the biggest assets ESL Pro League has. The team has been rising in popularity for the past two years. Their squad is one of the top CS:GO teams around the globe in the professional league.

All the invited teams are very likely to make a long-term deal with ESL before the season begins. On another note, B Site Inc. has been trying to get four more organisations to their new league. According to ESPN, so far only MIBR, Dignitas, Cloud9, Gen.G, c0ntact Gaming, and MAD Lions confirmed their partnership with B Site Inc. for the upcoming league. The organisation confirmed that there would be 12 spots in the league. B Site Inc. also told that two spots would be taken by qualifier winners. This leaves for four more spots before the league begins.
